In 2011 I came face to face with the homeless problem. That was the year when I began volunteering at the Food For Lane County Dining Room. As I interacted with those experiencing homelessness, the songs came. Four were previously recorded on Cross Current albums, the other eight are newly recorded. This album is the telling of the stories that have come from the people I have met. And, like those on the street, every song has a different story. The exception is the song “Compass”, which is me urging myself to continue working for social justice.
